Clinical Occupational Therapist
Position Summary:
Neurolutions is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Occupational Therapist with a strong background in neurological rehabilitation, and stroke recovery. The clinical occupational therapist will play a critical role in supporting patients through medical device screening, customer device training, and ongoing clinical follow-up assessment to ensure optimal outcomes. This position requires deep expertise in stroke rehabilitation, motor recovery, and functional assessments, combined with the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, patients, and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct eligibility screenings for patients considering Neurolutions' medical devices, ensuring alignment with clinical inclusion criteria.
- Lead device training sessions with customers, including patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure proper use and adherence to treatment protocols.
- Perform skilled follow-up visits to assess patient progress, troubleshoot device use, and provide clinical support as needed.
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services via telehealth for patients.
- Collaborate with the Neurolutions team to refine and optimize clinical protocols based on real-world data and patient feedback.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, device training sessions, and follow-up assessments.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) (Active License- in good standing) with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation, specifically working with stroke survivors.
- Strong expertise in stroke recovery, motor function assessment, and neuroplasticity-based interventions.
- Experience in training and educating patients and healthcare professionals on clinical interventions or medical devices.
- Familiarity with functional assessments and standardized outcome measures used in stroke rehabilitation.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and compliance with clinical documentation standards.
- Ability to become licensed in multiple states.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Technical & Operational Skills
Proficiency in Telehealth Platforms – Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom for Healthcare, Doxy.me, etc.).
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Competency – Ability to document visits and assessments in an EMR system.
- Strong Internet & Home Office Setup – Reliable internet connection, a professional workspace, and the ability to troubleshoot basic tech issues.
- Comfort with Digital Communication – Experience using email, patient portals, and teleconferencing tools effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in medical device training or implementation within a clinical setting.
- Additional certifications including but not limited to: Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS), Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS).
Work Environment & Travel:
- This role may require some occasional travel.
- Ability to conduct remote-based services.
